With over two decades of dedicated experience, Kristin is a Certified Addiction Counselor, holding additional certifications in Corrections and Criminal Justice, Yoga, and Breathwork Healing. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to guiding individuals through their journey of addiction and recovery, recognizing the vital importance of trauma-informed therapy in this transformative work.

Kristin's academic foundation was established at Saddleback College in Orange County, CA, where she specialized in substance use disorder and addiction studies. She furthered her education by completing a BA in Psychology at National University and is currently pursuing an MA in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage Family Counseling, further enriching her understanding of the human psyche, including the profound impact of trauma.

In addition to formal education, Kristin has immersed herself in life coaching coursework, yoga, and stand-up paddleboard instruction. She has also earned certification in the powerful Pranayama Breathwork Healing.

Since embarking on her personal recovery journey in 1995, Kristin's wellspring of compassion and determination has only deepened. Her dedication extends beyond substance use disorders to encompass eating disorders, food addiction, and a spectrum of behavioral and process addictions.

Employing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and a trauma-informed approach, Kristin adeptly addresses cross addictions and co-occurring disorders. She wholeheartedly advocates for a holistic approach to addiction treatment, integrating the transformative practices of Yoga, Breathwork, and Meditation as integral components of Body, Mind, and Spirit Recovery. As a Certified Yoga Instructor with Evolation Yoga and a certified Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga teacher with Floating Yogis, Kristin also holds the esteemed title of Breathwork Healer, certified under David Elliot.

Furthermore, Kristin is an Ordained Minister, with prior experience as a Pastoral Counselor, providing addiction treatment through a Christian/Spiritual lens.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Kristin finds fulfillment in an active lifestyle, seeking solace in activities such as surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and snowboarding. She is a steadfast advocate for a value-driven life.

In her practice, Kristin seamlessly incorporates a diverse array of Evidence-Based Treatment modalities, encompassing CBT, DBT, ACT, Breathwork, Communication Training, Codependency, Mindfulness, Relapse Prevention, Life Transitions, Grief and Loss, Stress Relief, Spirituality, and community based programs such as 12 Step, Smart Recovery, and Refuge Recovery.

Having triumphed over her own battles with addiction, Kristin embarked on a mission to cultivate joy regardless of circumstances.
